This home we did blown in TruSoft cellulose insulation. After carefully removing the siding of the home, the crew drilled holes big enough to put the hoses through for the insulation. This before and after photo set shows as the work is about to begin and what it looked like after the job was completed. The holes were plugged with wooden plugs and sealed, then the siding was replaced.
For this home, there was no access to the attic for the crew to spray cellulose insulation. In order to make the attic (and home overall) more comfortable for the homeowner, the shingles from the roof were carefully removed and a hole was cut. The hole was then densely packed with TruSoft Cellulose insulation, and the shingles were replaced once again.
For this homeowner, the crew removed the siding, and carefully drilled holes in order to put the hoses through to utilize the blown cellulose (TruSoft) insulation which is made up of recycled newspapers, cardboard and magazines. It's also mixed with borate, which is naturally found in the Earth. TruSoft is also mixed with a fire retardant for an added safety measure. Once the cellulose is blown in to the walls of the home, cedar wood plugs were put in placed and sealed. The siding was then replaced by the crew as carefully as it was removed to do the installation.
This is a drainage system that our crew installed due to water collecting in the basement of the home, making the home more uncomfortable. The home has a concrete slab basement, and water would run down the walls. A perimeter was cut around the inside floors and perforated pipe was laid on all four sides, which would allow the water to go into (water follows the path of least resistance) as the pipes were connected directly into a Sump Pump which pumped the water to the outside drainage pipes shown here. A trench was dug, then covered back up to allow the drainage without ruining the yard.
Crawl space had shelving built in that was used minimally. 3 inches of closed cell spray foam insulated this customer's home making it much more comfortable.
