Attic Insulation in Mayo, MD

This homeowner in Mayo, MD had recently moved and knew there was attic insulation in the home but was unsure about how much. He had a home energy audit done to examine the whole home to make sure no areas of the home were missed. Our Home Comfort Specialist went out and found that the attic lacked insufficient insulation levels. We recommended that this homeowner add blown-in cellulose insulation to their attic to stop the cool air from leaking out this summer.

This homeowner is much happier knowing that their new home is properly insulated! If recently moved or aren't sure about your insulation levels, give us a call at 1-866-632-5870! We want to help you make your home more comfortable and energy efficient.

New Blown in Insulation, Attic in Sunderland, MD

This homeowner has a gorgeous home in Sunderland, Maryland. She's completely in love with it...except for when winter hits. The rooms get really cold and she is constantly turning up her thermostat, costing her a lot of money in utility bills. Fortunately, she found out about Complete Home Solutions and wanted us to come out before the weather got too cold.

We came and performed a Home Energy Audit to find out how to help this homeowner. We found that most of her problems stemmed from her attic's poor insulation. To fix this, we first constructed an insulation dam around the attic access hatch so that we could uniformly apply additional insulation. We then were able to install 8" of loose fill cellulose insulation, bringing the attic's insulation levels to R-49, which is the industry standard for our climate zone. Thanks to these upgrades, the homeowner can rest assured that she will stay nice and warm this coming winter!

New Attic Door Insulation Cover in Churchton, MD

This homeowner has happily lived in Churchton, Maryland for a number of years and has always enoyed the house that she lives in. Somewhat recently, though, she heard from a relative of hers about Complete Home Solutions. Her friend told her about how we helped to fix some problems like drafty rooms, cold floors, and inconsistent temperatures throughout the house. The homeowner realized that she had some of the same problems and wanted us to help her too!

So, we came out and performed a Home Energy Audit to find that a lot of work could be done in her attic to help make her home more comfortable. One of the first things that we did was to install an attic tent over the attic hatch opening (which is what you see in these pictures). This was an important installation since the attic opening is such a large area and can allow a lot of codinitioned air to escape. Beyond that, we also installed 8" of loose fill cellulose insulation, which brought the insulation levels to R-49 (the recommended BPI standard for our climate zone). Since these upgrades, the homeowner has already noticed how much more comfortable her home has  become!

Furnace Replacement in Churchton, MD

Gary was noticing that the HVAC in his Churchton, MD home was running constantly trying to keep his home warm in winter months. After seeing an ad for one of our HVAC tune-ups Christopher gave Complete Home Solutions a call to take a look at his system. Following a visit from one of our trained HVAC Technicians, it was determined that his system was passed its 10-12 year life span. Our crew returned just a few days later and installed a brand new American Standard indoor and outdoor heat pump and air handler. Following the install, Gary noticed an immediate difference in the amount his system was running, and with the temperature of his home.

Attic Insulation in Churchton, MD

Nick heard from a friend about efficiency rebates he could receive from his utility company for taking steps to improve areas and systems around his home. After researching the program, he called Complete Home Solutions, who is a preferred Contractor for his utility company,  to conduct the assessment on his home.  After a full Home Energy Audit was completed by one of our Home Comfort Specialist, it was determined that the insulation levels in Nick's house could also be improved to help with comfort and efficiency. On the day of the job, our Home Comfort Technicians began air sealing the attic with fire block spray foam.  The spray foam is applied to our recessed light covers, top plates, and any outlets in the attic to ensure that the air you pay to heat or cool stays in the living space of your home. The next step in this attic was to vent the bath fans out through the roof. If your fans are not vented properly, it can create moisture issues in your attic. The final step of this attic project was to blow in new Cellulose insulation, which creates a 16 inch barrier between the attic condition and the rest of your home. As you can see in this picture, we install rulers throughout the attic to show our customers just how much of a difference our insulation makes.
