Attic Insulation in Edgewater, MD

After believing an A/C replacement would fix the comfort issues, Richard called Complete Home Solutions to assess the continued comfort issues. Following an inspection from one of our Home Comfort Specialist, it was determined that the insulation level was well below current standards, and no air sealing to speak of, that this was a primary source for air leakage and uncomfortable temperatures throughout the rest of the house. On the day of the job, our Home Comfort technicians began by moving the old insulation to properly air seal the attic, which prevents conditioned air from escaping the living space of your home. We use our fire block foam the seal top plates, recessed lights, drywall seams, and attic hatches to make sure there are no spots for air to escape. The next step was to blow in new cellulose insulation to make sure the attic was properly insulated to 18inches all the way around.

Richard noticed an immediate difference following the upgrades, and can't wait to see the drop in his energy usage, from the improvements made.

Attic Insulation in Edgewater, MD

Greg called Complete Home solutions after another year of uncomfortable conditions in his Edgewater, MD home. In the winter months, she struggles to keep it warm, and in the hot summer months, the upstairs is unbearable.  Following a Home Energy Audit, conducted by one of our trained Home Comfort Specialist, it was determined that the condition of the home's attic was the main culprit in the home's uncomfortable home. On the day of the job, our Home Comfort Technicians began air sealing the attic with fire block spray foam.  The spray foam is applied to our recessed light covers, top plates, and any outlets in the attic to ensure that the air you pay to heat or cool stays in the living space of your home. The next step in this attic was to vent the bath fans out through the roof. If your fans are not vented properly, it can create moisture issues in your attic. The final step of this attic project was to blow in new Cellulose insulation, which creates a 16 inch barrier between the attic condition and the rest of your home. As you can see in this picture, we install rulers throughout the attic to show our customers just how much of a difference our insulation makes. Eric noticed an immediate difference, even in mild temperatures, and can't wait to see how his house performs in the hot and humid summer months ahead.

Crawl Space Insulation in Edgewater, MD

Mike had just moved into his Edgewater home when he began to go down the list of things to address by the home inspection. He called Complete Home Solutions when it came time to tackle the crawl space he called the top crawl space company in Southern Maryland, Complete Home Solutions. After taking a look at the crawl space and talking to the customer about their needs, our Home Comfort Specialist was able to recommend replacing the batt insulation in the floor joist and laying down a new vapor barrier. The insulation will act as a barrier between the temperatures that make their way into the crawl space and the home, keeping the home comfortable. The vapor barrier when bolted to the wall ensures that moisture is not coming up from the earth and creating problems in the crawl space.

Mike is extremely happy with the work and is looking forward to many happy years in his new home.
