This was a great project! Our customer needed to convert living space BACK to a garage. After demolition of the area, we noticed very poor insulation, if any, on the buffer wall (wall opposite conditioned space) as well as on the ceiling. With 5" of closed cell foam on the ceiling and 2" of closed cell foam on the buffer wall, we were able to completely seal this garage from any air or moisture with incredible R-Values!! Not to mention adding structural integrity to the floors. The customer said, "I can't hear any of the creaks in the floor any longer and I don't need socks!!!"
After Triple H completed an energy assessment of this customer's house, it was determined that the floor in their bedroom was cold because there was no insulation below the floor in the garage. After spray foaming the ceiling of the garage, the customer will have warm floors and lower energy bills.
This bedroom in St. James will be much more comfortable now that Triple H has sealed and insulated the exterior walls with spray foam.
The customer had recently purchased the home and prior to moving in took the opportunity to remove the sheet rock and spray foam all the exterior walls because he wanted the best insulation to ensure year round comfort and reduced energy bills.
This homeowner had a free home energy assessment. After the analysis of the home was completed, Triple H suggested that this customer upgrade his insulation in his attic. Triple H air sealed all penetrations on the attic floor before blowing in Cellulose insulation. Now that this home has been air sealed and has proper insulation the customer will experience a more comfortable home as well as savings on their utilities.
This homeowner from St. James had a free home energy assessment. This customer was experiencing comfort issues. Upon inspecting this home it was determined that the home had a lot of air leakage and lack of insulation. For this attic we air sealed all penetrations in the attic. This included all wires and duct work. After the air sealing was complete we then blew cellulose insulation through out the attic. Hot air moves from more to less, meaning warm air in your home works its way outside in the winter, while hot air in the summer finds a way in. By air sealing your home you can stop the warm air from escaping the home and the hot air from entering the home. Air sealing and insulating a home creates a much more comfortable environment and saves on energy.
