These Newark Valley, NY homeowners were fed up with their inadequate sump pump, and overall comfortability in their home. Tired of cold winters and too hot summers inside the home, they called us. Our free Home Comfort Evaluation showed these homeowners how they could make their home more energy efficient, as well as lower their energy costs and be more comfortable at home.
Aside from replacing the old sump pump, we did several things to this home to make it more energy efficient and comfortable for the homeowners. The attic was air sealed properly prior to open blowing 14 inches of our TruSoft Cellulose insulation. There was also living space above the garage, and the ceiling of the garage was dense packed with TruSoft cellulose as well. The basement walls were also sprayed with our Closed Cell Spray Foam, 2 inches of spray foam was applied to the walls to ensure a tight home where air is no longer leaking and escaping, causing waste of money in fuel/energy costs.
This homeowner in Newark Valley, NY had lived in his home for ten years and had noticed his comfort levels declining each year. Most of the insulation beneath his home had fallen down, we proposed to repair some of this using some Tyvek, then we used our Closed Cell Spray Foam to spray 3 inches of spray foam to the underside of the mobile home to help this homeowner feel more comfortable in his own home.
This all electric house in Newark Valley, NY had some insulation by way of fiberglass blankets on the poured concrete foundation walls. This was causing moisture to get trapped behind the fiberglass.
We proposed to tear down the fiberglass blanket covering the foundation walls and spray foam instead. The rim joists were also empty. We sprayed 2 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam in the rim joists, as well as on the walls of the foundation.
This homeowner in Newark Valley, NY was part of a group in a mobile home park we were working on helping through the NYSERDA program. The NYSERDA program offers free insulation upgrades and energy and fuel reduction costs to low to moderate income families.
The underbelly of this home had the original fiberglass insulation fall down over time, which left this homeowner quite cold in the winter. We sprayed 3 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam to the underside of the mobile home to create a seal that would disallow the cold winter air to come up through the floors of the mobile home and make the floors unbearably cold.
This mobile home in Newark Valley, NY had fiberglass batts of insulation put up on the underside of his home. However, many of the insulation batts were not touching the floor, therefore not installed correctly.
We removed the inadequate fiberglass batts and sprayed 3 inches of our closed cell spray foam to the underside of the mobile home.
