This Port Byron, NY customer contacted Halco because he was interested in the benefits of basement insulation.
A properly insulated basement can save money on heating and provide a dry, comfortable space. When it comes to home insulation, it's hard to beat the quality of spray foam. Spray foam insulation won't fall out of place and can also serve as a waterproof barrier. That is what we installed here. Now he is saving on his energy bills!
This Port Byron, NY customer hired Halco to insulate his basement walls.
Our energy efficiency technicians used spray foam insulation because it is the best for your basement walls. Unlike fiberglass batts, the foam won't absorb water or be damaged by it, and it also won't compress, fall out of place, or lose R-value. This spray foam prevents outside air from coming in and inside air getting out.
Now this homeowner can save big bucks on energy bills!
These Moravia, NY customers decided to go green to offset their dependency from the local utility company. To help do so, Halco solar technicians installed a 12.54 kW solar electric system. Designed as a 44 panel ground-mounted array, this system should generate approximately 14,179.6 kWh per year.
This customer had just moved into their home about a year ago and immediately began to feel the discomfort of extreme draftiness... and the subsequent high energy bills. Our Energy Adviser performed an audit on the home and found that the primary issue was a lack of attic insulation in this Weedsport, NY home. To solve this, we applied 6" of open-cell spray foam insulation all along the attic slopes. The results were staggering! Our initial blower door reading, prior to the work, with the attic door open was 6200 CFM50. Afterwards, it tested out at 3000 CFM50 with the attic door AND the basement door open--that's an efficiency increase of over 50%!
Wow! What an amazing job completed by Halco techs, Dan and Spencer! We removed the old existing softener and blue pressure tank and installed twin 100-gallon storage tanks, a high water alarm, a control timer to activate the pump in the well, an inline filter to remove sediment before entering the tank, a constant pressure pump to supply home fixtures and a new water softener.
