Garage Insulation Improves Overall Comfort in Osceola, WI

This attached garage in Osceola, WI has living space above it. The homeowners said the bedrooms above the garage were cold in the winter and they wanted to improve the overall comfort in those spaces.

Henry Jungbauer, a Design Specialist in our Dr. Energy Service went to the home and gave a free, no-obligation estimate. After taking thorough measurements and using a thermal imaging camera to assess energy loss, he determined that spray foam would be the best fit for this space. Expanding on contact, this 2-part foam air seals and insulates.

DBS Foreman Nick Woods II and his insulation crew completed this garage installation. They applied spray foam in between the studs in the unfinished garage.

This will drastically improve whole-home comfort to this home year-round!

Attic Insulation Upgrade in South Saint Paul to Prevent Ice Damming and Improve Energy Efficiency

The homeowner in this case had been noticing worsening ice damming over the past few years, especially along certain areas of the exterior of their home. After investigating the issue by looking inside the knee walls, they found that the insulation was either lacking or insufficient, which was likely contributing to the ice damming problem. With plans to pass the house down to their daughter, the homeowner wanted to address this issue once and for all, ensuring the home would be properly insulated and protected for years to come.

Our team tackled the issue by installing 18" of TruSoft™ Cellulose insulation in the attic floor, along with baffles to ensure proper airflow and ventilation. We also applied closed-cell spray foam in critical areas where additional insulation was needed to seal gaps and prevent heat loss. The result? A well-insulated attic space with improved airflow, significantly reducing the risk of ice dams. The homeowner now has peace of mind knowing the home is more energy-efficient, and they can confidently pass it on to the next generation with no worries about insulation or ice damming issues. The house is now prepared for winter’s challenges, with lasting protection in place.
