This townhome in Annapolis, Maryland is just the right size for this small family. The one complaint that they have is how drafty some of the rooms get. In the winter time, it is a real hassle to keep all of the rooms at a comfortable temperature, and it costs them quite a bit of money in utility bills to do it. We gave the homeowners a Home Energy Audit to see what exactly we could do to fix this problem. We found that the attic was the number one issue when it came to their energy efficiency levels. The insulation that was up there was developing grey and black patches, indicating that it was no longer any good. So, we removed that, performed some air sealing along the rim joists and attic penetrations (spots that were allowing air leakage), and installed our TruSoft Cellulose insulation.
