Attic Insulation in Davidsonville, MD

This split level home in Davidsonville, Maryland was suffering from high energy bills.

Our Auditor performed a thorough home energy audit to determine where the home was leaking air. The Production crew performed air sealing to ensure no future air leakage. We also installed blown-in cellulose insulation in the attic to lower energy bills and impove the overall comfort if the home.

Crawl Space Insulation in Davidsonville, MD

This home in Davidsonville, Maryland was suffering from cold winters and high utility bills. The homeowner called up Complete Home Solutions to come in and perform a Home Energy Audit for her.

We discovered that she had quite a large crawl space, but the insulation that was there was torn up and ineffective. Her home was not being properly protected from moisture or air leakage. We went ahead and removed the old, damaged insulation to prepare for the new upgrades. The first thing we did was install a SmartPipe around the perimeter in the crawl space that would drain out the water from the soil and surface of the crawl space. Then we installed 2" of closed cell spray foam on the crawl space walls and set up a vapor barrier across the dirt floor. Together, these installations were able to make the homeowner more comfortable in her home and save her money in her utility bills!

New Air Ceiling & Attic Insulation in Davidsonville, MD

This homeowner living in Davidsonville, Maryland was experiencing a lot of discomfort in her home. She was experiencing a lot of those symptoms that many homeowners can relate to: drafty rooms, cold floors, inconsistent temperatures throughout the house, etc. Luckily she had heard about Complete Home Solutions and was willing to give us a try.

We came out to her house and performed a Home Energy Audit to figure out what we could do to help fix the situation. The diagnosis, which is often the case in many houses, was a poorly insulated attic. We got to work and made sure that this problem wouldn’t continue. We treated the attic hatch, air sealed all the attic penetrations and ductwork, and insulated the attic with TruSoft cellulose. Now, this homeowner can rest assured that her house will be comfortable this winter (and save a pretty penny in utility bills too!).

Spray Foam Insulation in Davidsonville, MD

Amy's home had an addition added to it several years ago and was insulated underneath by old fiberglass batt insulation. After several summers, the boards covering the insulation had begun to fall out and the insulation was damaged by the moisture. Due to the wet and falling insulation, the room above began to experience more humid temperatures in the summer and colder temperatures in the winter, and after yet another cold winter Amy had had enough and called Complete Home Solutions to assess the situation.  After examining the area, our Home Comfort Specialist recommended spray foaming the floor joist to create a solid insulated barrier underneath the home that would keep the outside elements and temperatures from affecting inside the home. Our Home Comfort Technicians did another fantastic job, and Amy was able to notice a difference immediately on the colder mornings.

Attic Insulation in Davidsonville, MD

Adam had been experiencing uncomfortable temperatures in his Davidsonville, MD home since moving in several years ago. After talking to a neighbor about the work we did in his home Adam decided to give us a call. Following an inspection from one of our Home Comfort Specialist, it was determined that the insulation level was well below current standards, and no air sealing to speak of, that this was a primary source for air leakage and uncomfortable temperatures throughout the rest of the house. On the day of the job, our Home Comfort technicians began by moving the old insulation to properly air seal the attic, which prevents conditioned air from escaping the living space of your home. We use our fire block foam the seal top plates, recessed lights, drywall seams, and attic hatches to make sure there are no spots for air to escape. The next step was to blow in new cellulose insulation to make sure the attic was properly insulated to 18inches all the way around.

Adam noticed an immediate difference following the upgrades, and can't wait to see the drop in his energy usage, from the improvements made.
