Living with a wet basement, this Gorham, ME homeowner was looking for a way to keep the water at bay. As soon as our installation crew arrived at the home, they got started on the basement by excavating a shallow trench into the perimeter of the floor. This enabled them to lay WaterGuard piping down below the surface of the floor, covering it over with a fresh layer of concrete. Concealed within the floor, the WaterGuard piping will now capture any moisture leaking in through the foundation before it can reach the floors surface. This trapped water is guided directly into the SuperSump installed in the corner of the basement to remove the water from the home before it can accumulate. The water is forced out of the home through a PVC discharge line protected by an IceGuard segment just outside the home. The IceGuard is constructed with upward facing holes to allow for any water blocked by ice or debris to escape the line before backing up into the home.
