Portland, Maine homeowners contacted us for help replacing their old, failed sump pump system. We first installed WaterGuard perimeter drainage, as well as a TripleSafe sump pump. WaterGuard collects water that seeps in from the walls or floors and brings it to the TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe system features two Zoeller pumps that can handle a combined capacity of 6,000 gallons of water per hour, pumping water away from the home through an exterior buried discharge line. The homeowners were also interested in options for dehumidification since the basement was often damp and musty. We installed a SaniDry Sedona, the world's most efficient dehumidifier. The SaniDry Sedona can remove over 100 pints of water from the air per day, and its MERV 8 filter removes allergens and odors.

Our crew got to work on their basement by rounding out the existing sump hole and installing a SuperSump system in the floor. This new pump will output at a rate of over 2,600 gallons of water per hour. This water exits the basement through a PVC discharge line where it passes through an IceGuard pipe segment on the exterior of the home. Now the homeowner can be sure their sump will keep their basement floor dry during exceptionally heavy rainfall.
