Open crawlspaces lead to the elements coming in and wrecking the health of a home leading to mold and cold floors. In worse cases, wood can begin to rot, leading to thousands and thousands of dollars in repair. Moldy crawlspaces can affect not only the health of the home but those living in the home as well. This Bartlett, NH homeowner was worried about the health of their family and wanted to take care of their Crawlspace as soon as possible, making sure the air they are breathing is fresh and clean.
System Design Specialist Sam Crowley met with the homeowner and put together a list of their goals, and together they designed a crawlspace system that would accomplish their goals. The system started with CleanSpace and drainage matting with Spray Foam on the rim joists. To make sure water wouldn’t be a problem, they put in a TripleCrawl Sump Pump System that is connected to an exterior, buried Discharge Line that takes the water way from the home. Mold was an issue in this crawlspace, so Sam and the homeowner opted to put in a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. This ensures that humidity never gets to a point where mold will grow. Together they built this system and ensured the health of the home for the future.
Isolating a crawl space from moisture from the earth, is critical to a healthy and happy home. At this home in New Castle, NH, TC Hafford Basement Systems used multiple exclusive products to give the homeowner peace of mind and a healthy home.
CleanSpace with drainage matting underneath is installed to keep moisture from the earth out of the crawl space and a SaniDry Sedona will work to keep the humidity in the crawl space low. Perforated pipe will direct groundwater to the SmartSump where it will push water out to a discharge line and far away from the homeowners crawl space. In the event of a power outage, the UltraSump Battery Back Up is installed to protect the space without hiccup.
Not only does the homeowner no longer have to worry about their crawl space, but now they have a usable area for storage and their home is better protected against the elements.
This Kittery homeowner reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems after their basement flooded for a second time. We protected their basement using WaterGuard connected to our TripleSafe Sump System. From the TripleSafe, all water is pushed out of a buried discharge line, far away from the house and in an area that will no longer cause any issues for the homeowner.
Typically, this would be the end of the work, but this homeowner has a crawl space connected to the basement that would still need to be delt with to fully protect the home and give the homeowner piece of mind. To do this, foreman Jesus and his crew put down a layer of Drainage Matting and encapsulated the crawl space with CleanSpace and Spray Foam.
Now this Kittery homeowner can sleep easy at night knowing they no longer have to worry about waking up to anymore floods in their basement.
With a musty, dirt floor crawlspace below their home, this York, ME homeowner wanted to make use of the space for storage. They called us at TC Hafford and our crew was able to provide the barrier they were searching for. To keep out moisture and debris to allow for safe storage, a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the interior of the crawlspace after a Drainage Matting was laid across the floor. This will form a vapor barrier capable of keeping moisture out of the crawlspace interior while enabling any trapped moisture to drain back through the ground below. Next, Spray Foam was used to fill in gaps between the joists above the crawlspace. This will provide better insulation for the home and keep any temperature control within the home efficient.
Now that their crawlspace has been sealed off from the elements, this homeowner can make use of the space for storage without needing to worry about their property sustaining any long-term damage.
With up to 6 inches of water in their crawl space during heavy rains and no intentions to ever move, this Kennebunk homeowner refused to let their crawl space rain on their heads anymore. After calling TC Hafford Basement Systems, System Design Specialist Ron Bedard drove out to the home to meet with the owner. Looking to avoid mold and any home damage, Ron and the homeowner worked together to design a system that would take care of the needs of the home while meeting the homeowners’ expectations.
CleanSpace with Drainage Matting was laid down and attached to the walls to act as a barrier, keeping outside elements outside where it won’t be a problem. Two Interior Discharge Lines are connected to two SuperSumps that will push any ground water outside through an exterior discharge line where it won’t be a problem. Finally, a SaniDry Sedona was installed in the crawl space to maintain safe humidity levels. The homeowner now can rest with peace of mind that they won’t have to worry about it raining in their crawl space anymore.
