This Springfield, OR homeowner was glad to take care of the broken window in their storage shed.
The motel owner of this Springfield, Oregon site chose our company to replace the old, inefficient aluminum windows. Rooms are now more comfortable and quieter, too.
This Springfield, OR homeowner was looking for a "dependable, honest, and reliable" contractor to help evaluate the issues under their home. One contractor told her there weren't any issues, but she had cold floors. The BEFORE photo shows what our Energy Consultant found when he suited up and crawled under the home. The old, ineffective fiberglass was hanging down and not doing much insulating.
Our crew removed the old fiberglass and spray foamed the underfloor with closed-cell spray foam. She told us her home is now much warmer in the winter!
This “Before” photo shows how the attic space had no insulation—no wonder the rooms below were cold! Our insulation crew blew in TruSoft™ cellulose to the R-38 level. Besides making a nice “blanket” in the attic (see “After” photo), it will also have the added benefit of deterring rodents from nesting. This cellulose is treated with borate, and animals do not like to be in it.
When our Energy Consultant investigated under this Albany, OR home, there were clearly water issues. Plus, the mold growth had already started. Mold lives and thrives when the relative humidity is between 70 to 99%.
Crawl space encapsulation was the best and more permanent solution for this couple, so they moved forward with it. Making the air they breathed in their home healthier for them was a concern.
