Dear Mr. Smith,
I wanted to write and tell you what a great job Steve Hudson did on a repair call a few wees back. I was traveling and received a call that the pipes were frozen in my vacation rental property. What made the situation even worse was that guests were supposed to check in the next day.
I called Halco and was told that someone would go look at the cottage and get back to me. Steve called within a few hours and said the problem was most likely a blockage since the ground was so cold that the pipes could freeze with water in them. He told me not to worry and that he would go back in the morning with the tools he needed and fix it.
I told him I was out of town and would not get back before the guests arrived. I also told him I would be traveling home that day and would not be able to receive calls while I was flying. He was very reassuring and said that I shouldn't worry.
The next morning he called me before my flight departed to tell me he was at the cottage and it looked like it would be easily fixed. Imagine how happy I was when I landed, turned on my phone and had a nice message from Steve saying everything was fixed. He also let me know he wiped the floor so it was nice and clean when my guests checked in.
He went above and beyond to provide great customer service, and fixed my problem. And the fact that he cared enough to clean up so well meant a lot to me.
I have recommended Halco to friends and neighbors before, but thanks to Steve's outstanding service, I will do so more!

I wanted to thank you for the team effort of Chad, Jeremy, Shawn and Vince for their technical expertise in the annual inspection and addressing some concerns I had. Also for Jeremy for the energy efficiency analysis, in particular the blower door results.
I have since followed through on additional research on my unit and what would be a reasonable payback. With your staff assistance and what I have personally completed, I feel my unit is reasonably energy efficient.
If you have any questions of what I have done please have Jeremy provide an update. I have kept him informed. His "audit" motivated me to take action on some hunches I've had since we bought the place.
Perhaps you were not aware but for four years in the late 1980's early 1990's part of my responsibilities were to the Director of Cornell Cooperative Extension in overseeing a contract between the Cornell Agricultural Engineering Department and the State Energy Office. The program was called, Save Energy, Save Dollars. It was about a 1/4 million dollar per month contract with 50+ energy technicians who audited farms, small businesses and not-for-profits throughout NYS, including New York City. The Ag Engineering Department developed many auditing formulas and taught and monitored the technicians as they conducted the audits.

Dear Halco,
I have been pleased with Halco’s dedicated biannual inspections. My four heating/ air conditioning units are all well cleaned and in good working order. Last year, I witnessed the work that goes into servicing the four units in my condo. I believe it was a spring cleaning, but due to various emergencies that happened on my cleaning dates it was completed during the July 4th weekend. I had 13 family members in my two bedroom unit and your technician serviced all four units without disrupting our activities. Everyone was so impressed.
On another occasion a few years (4years?) back one of your employees worked on a unit in my condo installing a blower on three consecutive days. Every time I turn the unit on I am impressed at how the unit operates and the memory of the hard work that went in to the fixing of the unit.
So when I return in March I will expect another fine job well done based on the evidence of past performance. Thank you.
