A new customer who found our company through a sub contractor referral wanted to inquire about getting a new boiler and water heater installed. The boiler was 25 years old. They received a quote from another source and had a certain budget to stay in. He was also very interested in financing. Pipe Works Services system design specialist Lloyd provided an estimate for a new Crown Steam Boiler. They choose our company to install a 103,000 BTU Crown Steam Boiler, new digital Electronic thermostat to control the boiler, new emergency electrical shut off switch, so the boiler can shut off during an emergency automatically when your not around, new Emergency gas shut off so that the customer can manually shut off gas to the unit. Our technicians also installed new flue pipe to chimney so the boiler can be properly vented and all new pipes and fittings. Customer called into Pipe Works Services after noticing the floor above his crawlspace was getting rather cold when the temperatures dropped. One of our Senior technician Jonny was tasked with coming up with a permanent solution for the customer. After inspection of the crawlspace, he immediately noticed the lack of proper insulation. The customer was using standard fiberglass insulation, which provides little to R value. Jonny knew the perfect solution,, which would permanently rectify the customers problem . The customer knew this was the best solution if he wanted to take care of the problem correctly. Charlie and Giovanni arrived the next week and got to work. Pipe Works installed a Terra block padding on the entire crawlspace floor with a DES moisture barrier. Pipe Works Services also will apply 2 inch Silverglow on all exterior walls from the cement floor up the rim joists , and finally Pipe Works will also Spray foam all rim joists to ensure no air flow penetration from the outside in. . The customer called in after he noticed immediate difference later that night.
Customer called in when they realized their bathtub was backing up . Our plumber Dwight was able to come out and take care of the issue . He had the customer back up and running within a matter of hours.
Customer called in right before closing time regarding his leaking water heater in home. Our plumber Mario was able to head to customers home immediately and go over what was going on with water heater. Mario discussed all options with customer and decided that replacing the water heater was his best option. Mario was able install a Bradford White 75 gallon Power Vent water heater with new shut off valve within a couple of hours and the customer had hot water by that night.
Customer called in after purchasing their own thermostat. They were having an issue trying to install it and have it run properly . Our technician Matthew was able to have it hooked up and running within a matter of minutes. After going over the functions of the thermostata with the customer there will be no further issues.
