This La Pointe, WI homeowner was dealing with serious foundation issues and persistent musty odors from the crawl space. As seen in the "before" photo, the foundation was crumbling, creating both safety concerns and a damp, unpleasant environment. To tackle these issues, we employed a comprehensive solution, including a trusted Helical Pier system to stabilize and secure the foundation. We also installed SmartPipe™ and SmartSump™ to manage water flow, along with SmartJacks™ for additional support to ensure a level and solid structure.
In addition to addressing the foundation, we tackled the musty smell by installing a CleanSpace® vapor barrier to seal out moisture and a SaniDry Sedona® for high-efficiency dehumidification. The crawl space was also equipped with an EverLast® door and reinforced with rim joists and cross beam supports to ensure lasting protection and structural integrity.
As shown in the "after" photo, the transformation is remarkable. The crawl space is now safe, dry, and odor-free, providing the homeowner with peace of mind and a reliable, long-lasting solution to their foundation and moisture problems. Our work has not only eliminated the immediate safety hazards but also safeguarded the home for years to come.
This homeowner in Rosemount, MN wanted to find a solution that would provide stability and support for the deck of the home. They wanted a professional and permanent solution, so they reached out to DBS for help.
Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo assisted the homeowner with a free, no-obligation estimate. After a careful and thorough inspection, Henrik and the homeowner decided that our piering solution would be the perfect option.
Foreman Trevor Ingle led the installation of this project with help from a team. The team used hydraulic pressure to drive the piers into the ground. They reached solid, native soil. These piers will be able to fully support a structure above while combating any future settlement sinking.
This homeowner can now enjoy the stable, secure deck at their home.
This Stillwater MN home was having problems with water coming into the basement from around the perimeter of the basement and through the walls in specific areas. The homeowner wanted to eliminate the concerns they had for the items they were storing in their basement that would sometimes get wet or need to be moved to avoid getting wet every time it would rain. They were looking for a solution that would give them back the use of the large storage area under their home and reduce the "basement smells" that were present in the home. To help ease the customer's concerns, our Specialists suggested our full interior waterproofing system. This customer understood that a full interior waterproofing system would help direct the water coming into their home directly into their sump pump rather than through the basement where it could ruin their valuables. With the customer in agreement to this solution we got to work installing the waterproof membrane on the basement walls which was sealed to the drain tile down below. This drain tile utilizes our patented technology which prevents dirt from clogging the system and allows water to be efficiently drained away from the home.
