Our Dr. Energy Saver® Design Specialist visited the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the insulation work. Our production crew installed 3 inches of closed-cell spray foam to seal and insulate the structure. Spray foam expands after its applied, reaching tight spaces and filling gaps where air could escape.

A Dr. Energy Saver® Design Specialist went to the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. After inspecting the property and conducting an energy audit, it was determined that air sealing, and blown-in insulation were necessary to effectively seal the space.

Our production crew first removed the existing insulation in the attic. They then sealed the gaps in building material and spaces surrounding the attic ducts with a layer of Spray Foam. From there, they used our TruSoft™ cellulose to blow into the space. TruSoft™ has a higher R-value than fiberglass and other cellulose materials. 

Sealing the attic was key to prevent warm air from escaping the home, improving the overall energy-efficiency and health of the space.

Our production crew first removed the existing insulation and sealed the gaps in building material and spaces surrounding the attic ducts with ZypFoam™. From there, the applied TerraBlock™ directly to the super deck in the attic. They also blew-in a heavy layer of our TruSoft™ cellulose into the space. TruSoft™ has a higher R-value than fiberglass and other cellulose materials and will work wonders to protect the space.

Because the garage already had drywall up, our production crew drilled holes into the drywall and dense-packed it with our ultra-dense Tru-Soft™ cellulose. This insulation is fire-resistant and has an R-value much higher than fiberglass, and most rigid foam insulations.

1940's Vacation Home in Duluth, MN Gets Foundation Support

Owners of this home in Duluth, MN now use the property for vacationing during the summer months. They have owned the home for close to 50 years but have noticed some dramatic shifting and cracking in the home's foundation. The homeowners learned about DBS via a recommendation from another company and contacted us for a permanent solution. 

DBS Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo visited the home to provide a free, no-obligation estimate. It was determined that a lift procedure was needed to address foundation settlement, as well as some supplemental support. Zach Royer and his production crew installed a 14-ft support beam beneath the home and then drove 2 HelixPro® piers into the ground to support the structure. These piers are driven through the soil, down to the strata layer of rock, providing solid support to the home.

The homeowners were happy with the work done and can now enjoy a safe and supported vacation home for years to come!
