Infinity Home Improvement removed the old deck and built a new cedar deck for the front porch
A retired homeowner noticed how their rear entry has deteriorated over the years and wants to replace it with a new, treated wood entry.
The composite material of the wood would provide enough durability, low maintenance, and cost-effective affordable option for the homeowner.
Rebuilding the entry with treated wood will ensure stable structure integrity, safety, and enhance the overall appearance of the home's exterior.
The homeowner wanted to commit to improving their old deck entry stairway of its accessibility and safety without worrying of it falling apart on his way back in to his home.
We are here to revamp the entry stair structure to ensure of its durability. We recognized of the risks posed by the steep existing stairway. We ended up having to remove it entirely as it wouldn't be safe and secure for the homeowner. In its place, we added a spacious 15 sq.ft. landing area at the top of the stairs, providing more ample room for movement and transition.
To further enhance its usability, we extended the stairway by adding an extra step. This addition not only reduced the height of each step, but it also elongated the overall length of the stairway to ensure for a smoother ascent and descent.
In considering of the stability and support, we installed a round graspable handrails on both sides of the stairway. The handrails helps provide an easier navigation of going up and down the stairs and it contributes to the overall safety of the entryway.
The result of the modifications were a success as the stairway has went through a remarkable transformation. The deck entry stairway is now safer and easier to climb for anyone coming in and out of the home.
The customer's existing 5-inch spike and Ferrule grey gutters with a 2x3 downspout could not handle the water volume leading to an issue with overflowing and water damage.
To solve this issue, we have upgraded their gutter system with a 3x4 downspout and increased the gutter size to 6-inch. The customer wanted the gutter color to be black. This installation would double the amount of water-handling capacity.
Additionally, grey Gutter Helmet was installed to keep debris out of the gutters, ensuring more efficiency for water management and reducing maintenance work.
