This homeowner in Prince Frederick, MD was struggling to keep cold air inside and the homeowner was fed up with their high utility bills so they called Complete Home Solutions for help.  The homeowner requested an appointment to have an audit done.  During the appointment, our Home Comfort Specialist found that the attic wasn't properly sealed and the existing insulation wasn't up to the recommmended standards.  The homeowner decided to have the work performed that was recommended by our Home Comfort Specialis.  Our production crews came in and air sealed all the top plates, the gable wall, around the duct work, and after everything was air sealed our crew finished off the attic by blowing in Cellulose insulation until it reached the proper R-Value.    The homeowner is happy that they called upon us to fix this issue for them.

This homeowner was a past customer. She had a pipe burst in the wall in the basement ruining the insulation.  She immediately called Complete Home Solutions, because she know we could help.

Our Production Team went out and inspected the damage that the pipe burst had caused. They came to the conclusion that this was just a small insulation repair for the wall. They took out the damaged insulation and put up the new one. It looks as good as new! As if the pipe never burst in the wall in the basement.

In Dunkirk, Maryland we have a home that heated up way too much in the summer and just about froze in the winter. The problem? An attic that was leaking mass amounts of air in and out of the house. Running the air conditioning doesn't help much in this case because the hot air from the attic (which can reach around 130 degrees) is moving into your living space and heating it up significantly.

We took out whatever insulation was worn out, air sealed the attic (with caulk and spray foam), and blew in cellulose insulation (which has a nice dense consistency to it). We created a much more comfortable home that no longer needs to work its HVAC unit to death. 

These homeowners had an addition added on to their house some time ago. In creating that addition, a crawl space  was formed. This crawl space was somewhat insulated, but the homeowners still felt cold air and moisture coming from it. They called Complete Home Solutions to find a fix to their problem.

After looking at the crawl space, and the house as a whole, we decided that the best solution for these homeowners was to encapsulate the crawl space.  This involved air sealing  and insulating the walls with spray foam insulation  and installing a vapor barrier along the floor. In doing this, we were able to keep the cold air and moisture from infiltrating the crawl space and ultimately the living space. The end result is a much more comfortable home for this couple. 

Did you kknow, more than 50% of household air comes from your crawl space, this is why it's so important to keep this space as clean and dry as possible. This homeowner in Dunkirk Maryland was extremely unhappy with the temperature on the first floor of his home.  He could see the insulation was falling down in his crawl space and did not understand what was causing it.  Our home comfort specialist went out and determined that there was insufficient vapor barrier, causing the insulation to become saturated with ground moisture and fall over time.  He also determined the crawl space was not sealed probably allowing the deteriorating conditions and unhealthy air to be pulled into the home.  Our Home Comfort Specialist recommended our proprietary CleanSpace system, which consists of a heavy vapor barrier and seals the crawl space properly   The result is a  crawlspace that is conditioned and dry, which makes for a cooler house in the summer and warmer house in the winter.  This homeowner is extremely happy with the immediate difference they can feel in the house thanks to Complete Home Solutions!
