Job review from David in Aldie, VA 20105 on 05/17/21

What did they learn that was most surprising:

Up front, Carl is super nice and knowledgeable. Very easy to work with and an asset to your company. Unfortunately, not sure I will be able to work with him for the following reasons. Your pricing is not competitive. You are more than 2x to 3x the estimate of 2 local competitors. Price matching guarantee is useless as no two companies write estimates EXACTLY the same, etc. Saying “we are better” or “the competition is hit or miss” is not really informative as to why someone should pay such a premium over competitors price. All companies interviewed have said more or less the same things, stated they would do the same types of things (air seal with one part foam, blow in insulation, etc.) and estimated a certain level of improvement. (Final R-value, reduced air infiltration, etc….) I am finding it hard to justify paying the premium for what seems to be same service (and similar quality based reviews on the web). I liked Carl but that is not enough.
