Robert Achterberg

Robert C. Achterberg, a dedicated professional with a rich background, has been an integral part of Fortenberry Roofing since August 2024. Originally from Ruidoso, New Mexico, Robert has spent most of his life in Texas and New Mexico, and has called Lubbock, Texas home since 2001.

As a Service Technician/Project Manager Robert oversees the day-to-day operations at Fortenberry Roofing, ensuring the efficient removal and replacement of residential roofs and the installation of gutters. His passion for his job is evident in his meticulous attention to detail and his drive to see each project through to completion, always aiming to exceed customer expectations and foster a positive work environment for his colleagues. 

Roberts's professional journey is marked by significant achievements. He served in the U.S. Army from 2005 to 2017, with two deployments to Afghanistan, and was honored with a Purple Heart. He is also a certified Master Underwater Criminal Investigator (UCI) Diver, paramedic and firefighter in Texas.

Beyond his professional life, Robert is a family man, married to his lovely wife Darci for 20 years, and proud father to their son Tristen, who is currently a sophomore at Eastern New Mexico University. In his free time, Robert enjoys woodworking and is an avid enthusiast of U.S. and military history.
