What made you choose our company:

All I can say is WOW! What a difference! We moved in about a year ago and the AC or heat never seemed to stop running. On the hottest and coldest days it would literally run 20+ hours a day and never catch up according the usage stats on our Nest thermostat. We even had space heaters in the bedroom and basement. The two weeks before DES came our AC ran about 14 hours a day, the week after install it dropped to 9 and the week after that, to 5hours per day! Not only that but it just feels so much more comfortable all the time. We got a few quotes from different insulation companies and there is a BIG difference in what is explained and offered. One company just wanted to blow some insulation into the attic but that didn't seem like enough. Another would do the air seal and remove our old installation for a bit less than Dr. Energy Saver but the difference is in the details. Their contract said I might have to rent a dumpster and arrange disposal myself depending on what they found, which isn't cheap. I couldn't understand why they wouldn't tell me up front since they had already done the inspection and given an estimate, shady. Enter DES they were very professional from the first phone call to schedule an estimate through the entire process. Chris was very thorough in his inspection and explanation. I had a detailed estimate that we went over before he left the house. When I explained I couldn't afford everything all at once, he helped break the job up into affordable pieces. Every day when we arrived home from work after DES had been in the house, I couldn't tell by looking. They were meticulous in their install and clean up. The last thing I want to mention isn't AC or heat related but bugs. Our rim joist was so riddled with holes; we were seeing bugs almost daily and even a mouse once! The glass block windows in the basement were covered in spider webs. Not anymore! This house is so air tight we have not seen a single bug since install and I have to remove maybe one small web every month from the basement windows! Huge difference!
