Since this long, hard winter has greatly increased the runtime for our system, which apparently contributed to the unexpected need for a filter replacement, we are installing a Hunter air flow monitor (the fan people), less than $10 via Amazon. You should offer these little gadgets. It's simple to install and a lot less than a service call.

Ultimately, the problem seemed to be with reduced air flow, but that was the last thing checked. However, it surprised me too, since the AF was changed w/in the previous month. That could have been checked first, with a symptom of heat pump over temp.

Careful check of functional parameters of the heat pump determined it was not at fault.
