Comment: Hi. I found your contact information from the website. I recently moved into a single family house which has forced hot air. There are two heating units. I believe one unit covers the master bedroom (which is fine) but the other unit seems to cover the rest of the house (the other upstairs bedrooms, the whole first floor, and the finished basement). We are trying to solve for the following: 1. We do not need the heat to cover the basement as much since the furnace is down there and tends to stay warm. 2. We want the first floor to be able to heat better. 3. It seems the majority of the upstairs hardly heats at all so we are looking to improve this. Even when we close the white color metal slats in the basement, we notice that some of the basement rooms get heated. We do not want to direct the heat into those areas in the basement and would rather have it go the main floor if that would help. It has something to do with the Dampers we believe among other things. We are not sure what could be done (maybe changing the flow of the air through the vents), so we wanted to email you to see if you could come over, take a look, and see if you had any suggestions on ways to fix these issues.
