With exposed knee walls, and an insulation level below standard, no wonder the home was leaky and inefficient.
We install baffles and seal the bottoms with foam to allow your attic to still breathe after we've installed the new cellulose. This helps prevent your attic from growing mold and holding any unwanted stagnant air.
Their old crawlspace had an existing vapor barrier that was a little too thin for our taste. We took out the old barrier and replaced it with a 20 millimeter thick CleanSpace vapor barrier. We also removed the old batt insulation which was mostly old, beat up and falling down.
When gutters get dirty, they clog the downspouts and the collected water ends up sitting inside the gutters. This can lead to future issues.
First we have to remove the old batt insulation, this also helps make the prep work easier on the crew.
