I had 11 SmartJacks and a supplemental beam installed in the crawlspace of my home. Overall, I am very impressed with the quality of products and installation that TC Hafford provides. Two rows of SmartJacks were installed expertly. But, I had an issue with the supplemental beam installation. Unfortunately, the main carrying beam placed under the supplement beam is so degraded with dry rot that it is likely providing very little support; it appears to be already settling against the new beam, which is disappointing. It probably would have been more structurally sound to leave the existing framework for the main carrying beam in place and install the supplemental beam system to one of the sides, so that it could rest against sound wood. My understanding is that I will require an additional beam system, and will need to have the existing one moved over in order to properly support floor. This is unfortunately a very large expense I wasn't expecting.

The crew did a very good job with the installation and obviously took care to ensure the new SmartJacks had solid contact with the ground and were properly anchored at the top. Please see above comments on supplemental beam placement.
Basement was left clean and free of debris.
