My husband and I recently moved onto a new house. Our first two electric bills were in excess of $400 each, even though we keep the thermostat set at 66 a majority of the time. Our house is always freezing when we are home and the thermostat is set at 69. We live in an all electric house and desperately need to figure out how to lower our electric bill.

I'm living in a 2-story house,with basement,that was built in 1966 after the devastating tornado.I'm not sure if the house needs new insulated siding - it does need painting - or if the internal insulation is in poor shape. I did have insulation blown into the attic in early 2012. The upstairs is hot in summer and the main living area is cold in winter. Any help is appreciated.
