Comment: I have an older home in Belleville, 780 sq ft and built in 1908. I worry that the original home has very little insulation that causes loud outside noise and heating and cooling issues. Comment: I have a patio door in my kitchen and it simply lacks insulation. You can literally feel the wind and cold in the winter time if you sit at the kitchen table. Moreover, I'm sure cool air is simply "going out the window" in the summer months. My bedroom is actually cool and/or cold during the winter even though I have the heat turned-up high. My home needs insulation every where, but these two places are most urgent to me. Accordingly, I'd like to get a quote on getting my home insulated, but these two areas I'd mostly like a quote on first.

Comment: We had a new roof put on due to the hail damage in 2012. At the same time, we had our old insulation sucked out of our house and new insulation blown in. Since having this work done, our kitchen area is incredibly hot, when it wasn't before. Also, we were put in the middle between the insulation guys and the roofing people. The insulation person said, when packing the insulation in a portion of our attic that could only be filled while the roof decking was off, we did not need a ridge vent because there will be no space for air to be in there. Since having that done, I have asked several construction people if he was correct and I have been told no. So, I would like to have someone come out to do a Home Energy Audit, please.
