Comment: We recently moved into a house which is ~100 years old (with an extension ~20 years ago). The house is poorly insulated, particularly the attics and basement, and very difficult to heat and maintain a set temperature. We would like to understand our options for improvement . Comment: I have heard good things about you guys! We are converting a 1940's cape style house from oil to natural gas and installing central A/C. As part of this project we want to remove the old fiberglass insulation on the floor and install spray foam in the rafters, eaves, and gables. I'd like to have someone come in to provide us with a quote for completing the project. The sooner the better please. We started working with another firm and after wholly unsatisfactory "clean-up and prep" we decided not to proceed.. I am looking for someone that can do good work at a reasonable price. Please call me. Thanks.

Comment: Insulation needs to be blown into the walls of 3 upstairs bedrooms.
Project Location: New Canaan, CT 06840
Comment: -Ice dams causing water to damage drywall and leak into home. Would like to check if poor insulation in the attic is the issue? - Poor insulation between garage and kitchen (above garage). Very drafty and cold in kitchen. Drafts coming in at base of stove, dishwasher. Also kitchen sink pipe freezes in very cold weather due to poor insulation.

Comment: Concerned that we don't have enough insulation in the attic. The house is not cold and was renovated in 2009. If there's something we can improve upon I'd like to find out what's possible. Thanks Sloan

Comment: Hello, we have a 6000sq ft house in new canaan. we were interested in having an energy audit. we're specifically interested in knowing about drafts/insulation and about any inefficiencies in our HVAC system. what would be the charge for someone to come do this testing for us? (of note: we're not interested in looking at our water flow/changing shower heads or in changing all bulbs to fluorescent.) thanks in advance - and i'm best reached via email during business hours. best, melissa
